The Committee to Support Journalists refuses to insult US President Donald Trump to reporters in Davos

On Friday, January 26, 2018, President Donald Trump of the Davos Economic Forum criticized the press as “evil,” which was rejected by the Press Support Committee as a new violation of press freedom.
“The press was very good with me when I was a businessman, but I did not realize to what extent she could be evil and false only when she became a politician,” Trump said.
Trump told reporters on his arrival at the forum that it was “false news and this is normal behavior from the New York Times.” The US president’s remarks have angered journalists in the hall, which can accommodate up to 1,500 people.
The Committee for the Suppression of Journalists has rejected these successive insults on the media and journalists by the American president. Since President Trump took power, many media outlets have criticized his policies for the most egregious and morally inappropriate and offensive language, as well as insulting a large number of journalists and media professionals.
