ritish ambassador to Russia, Laurie Presto

The ambassador’s call came amid a severe political crisis between the two countries triggered by a chemical attack on former Colonel Sergey Scrippal and his daughter Yulia in the southern British city of Slesbury earlier this month.
Top British officials accused Russia of being behind the poisoning of Scrippal and decided to impose sanctions on Moscow, including the deportation of 23 Russian diplomats in the near future.
Moscow rejected the accusations, which it described as null and void and did not rely on any evidence, and announced the preparation of a response procedure, the expulsion of British diplomats will be part of it.
