For his part, Ahmad Majdalani, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), indicated at the microphone of the Voice of Palestine that the organization had rejected the invitation of the United States to attend this meeting. meeting.

Majdalani said it was not necessary to hold a meeting of this kind, as the situation in Gaza “is due to political rather than humanitarian considerations”.

The United States is well aware that Israel and the blockade it imposed are at the origin of the humanitarian tragedy that the Gaza Strip endures, he noted, recalling that this question required, therefore, a reflection and a political solution and not humanitarian.
