“The Daesh Air Force” is how Syrian President Bashar al-Assad called the US coalition in Syria.

Bashar al-Assad made the remarks during a press briefing on Sunday (March 4th) and after a meeting with the Iranian Minister Delegate for Foreign Affairs and High Negotiator in the process of the talks. Astana, for peace in Syria, Hossein Jaberi Ansari.

“The media and political campaigns against Syria in the name of the beautiful humanitarian slogans are aimed at supporting the terrorists after their bitter and consecutive failures against the Syrian army,” insists Bashar al-Assad.

Speaking on the situation in Eastern Ghouta in the suburbs of Damascus, the Syrian president said that “most of the inhabitants of this region, wants to free themselves from the siege of terrorists, which is why the anti-terrorist operations of the army Syrian authorities are continuing simultaneously with the establishment of humanitarian corridors, to allow the arrival of humanitarian convoys and the evacuation of civilians, sick or wounded to areas under the control of Damascus, “he said.

Emphasizing that the UN cease-fire resolution in Syria would not imply Syrian Army operations against the terrorist and extremist groups linked to Daesh and al-Nusra Front and the groups that cooperate with these criminals, Assad said that there is no contradiction between the truce and the anti-terrorist operations, and that the Syrian army attacks launched against the terrorists in Eastern Ghouta are in the very context of the struggle anti-terrorist.

Returning to the “false” accusations of chemical attacks by the West against Damascus, the Syrian president denounces the methodical harassment of the West, a “used” means to justify coalition attacks against the Syrian army.

“The Western coalition is the Daesh Air Force, because this so-called anti-Da’esh alliance is hatefully supporting terrorist groups such as the al-Nusra Front and Daesh and other affiliated groups.
