Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi responded to allegations of a new phase of negotiations between Iran and Europe over regional issues, the official IRNA news agency reported. “The Islamic Republic of Iran and the European Union have always held dialogues and talks between each other at different stages of time; Basically do not mind any talks or listen to their mutual views. ”
“On the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, talks were held between the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran under the chairmanship of Iran’s Assistant Foreign Minister and several European foreign ministers (Italy, France, Britain and Germany).” The talks dealt with the Yemeni file because of the special and tragic circumstances of the country, Yemen is suffering from human tragedy, the siege, the spread of epidemics, hunger and drought due to the devastating war it is facing, and through its diplomatic contacts, it seeks to end the war, aggression, restore security and prepare the ground for humanitarian aid to the MNC. In this country; Iran hopes that these political and diplomatic activities will ease the suffering of the oppressed and innocent people of Yemen and end the bombing in preparation for the political solutions to the Yemeni crisis.
 The foreign ministry spokesman said that contrary to what some Western media claimed, the recent talks were not negotiations in the political and legal sense, and the two sides could hold talks and exchange views according to Iran’s principled policies.
He concluded by saying: “Iran over the past decades and on the basis of its initial foreign policy is continuing with a number of regional and European countries in accordance with what is dictated by their interests and in order to achieve their interests and pride and will continue these talks, which in any case does not apply to the description promoted by some Western media” .
