new sanctions against Russia

“You can expect that the new sanctions will be in place within the next 30 days, we are implementing all the current sanctions and imposing new sanctions,” the minister said, according to a Bloomberg correspondent on Twitter.
The United States is currently imposing a number of sanctions against Russia because of the situation in the Crimea and in Donbass, as well as for “interference” in the elections.
State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauwert said earlier that the US State Department might consider sanctions against 13 Russian nationals on the so-called Muller List for interfering in the 2016 elections.
The US Congress is conducting independent investigations into the “Russian intervention” in the US presidential election, won by Donald Trump. A similar investigation is being conducted by Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller.
In the US media, regular reports appear on unnamed sources of contacts with members of the Trump campaign with Russian officials and businessmen.
Russia has repeatedly denied US intelligence charges of trying to influence US elections. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has called the accusations baseless.
