The White House denied on Monday, February 12, any discussion with the Israeli authorities on a plan to annex settlements in the occupied West Bank.

White House spokesman Josh Raffel said declarations of ongoing talks on a plan to annex settlements in the occupied West Bank were completely false.

“The United States and Israel have never discussed such a project and President Trump is focusing solely on an Israeli-Palestinian peace initiative,” said Raffel.

This rare dissonance comes after statements by a spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu on Monday, February 12, who discussed with the US side about a plan to annex settlements in the occupied West Bank. in the context of the application of Israeli “sovereignty”.

While Israel’s allegations have angered Palestinians, some political analysts have little faith in the existence of a concrete project.
